Commercial & Fit-outs · Brisbane

Fit-outs that open on time.

Three-phase work, switchboard upgrades, lighting design, data & comms, test & tag, and full electrical fit-out coordination — certifier-ready, deadline-aware.

A fit-out lives or dies on coordination.

Most fit-out delays we see have nothing to do with the electrical work itself — they come from sparkies who don't coordinate properly with the builder, the shopfitter and the certifier. We treat coordination as our actual job and the cabling as a sub-task.

We work to programme. Before the first cable goes in, we've walked the site with the builder, agreed where wet trades cross our path, marked up the lighting plan with the designer, and lodged the certifier paperwork. Most of our commercial work runs single-source to keep that loop tight.

Our commercial team carries QBCC electrical contractor licences, $20M public liability, ISO9001-aligned site procedures, and SWMS for every site we step on. We can produce documentation that builders and head contractors actually want to read.

How a fit-out runs through us.

Every fit-out is different but the rhythm is the same. Bigger jobs just have more of step 3.

1. Pre-construction walk-through

With the builder, designer and (where relevant) the certifier. We mark up the plan, check the existing supply, identify the upgrades needed, and book the Energex application if a service upgrade is required.

2. Rough-in

Cabling, conduit, GPO and switch boxes installed to plan during the framing/before-plaster window. Photographed pre-cover for your records.

3. Switchboard build & supply works

Switchboard built off-site where possible to compress the on-site programme. Energex coordination handled by us — you don't need to chase them.

4. Fit-off

Final fittings, lighting, data plates, test points all installed and finished after the painters are out. Cleanly — no white fingerprints.

5. Test, certify, hand over

Full test schedule, certifier sign-off paperwork, as-built drawings if requested, and the certificate of compliance issued before the doors open.

Common questions.

Can you work nights/weekends to avoid trading-hours disruption?

Yes — standard for our commercial team. Tenancy fit-outs, test & tag in occupied offices, and switchboard upgrades for retail are usually run after-hours.

Do you do test & tag separately from fit-out work?

Yes. We run a recurring test-and-tag service for offices, gyms, cafes and clinics across Brisbane — quarterly, six-monthly or annual depending on equipment class.

Will the certifier accept your work?

Yes. We work to AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules and produce the test schedule and certificate of compliance every certifier we work with already knows. We’ve never had a sign-off rejected.

Can you work directly with our builder/shopfitter?

Of course — that’s our preferred mode. We can also project-manage the electrical scope and report directly to a head contractor or owner-builder.
